Office Policies

EMERGENCY OR AFTER HOURS CARE:
Providers at Nova Wellness Center do not take after hours call and do not care for patients in the hospital or emergency room. If you believe you need admission to a hospital you should go to your local emergency room for evaluation. An emergency room physician will evaluate you to determine whether you need to be admitted. If you do not have another primary care physician who has admitting privileges at the hospital then a hospitalist physician will be assigned to you.
**Patients who are on BioTe therapy and need to contact Dr. Sachdev regarding an issue directly related to their BioTe treatment may contact Dr. Sachdev directly by texting her mobile phone. Her mobile number is listed at the bottom of the instruction page that is provided during the first procedure appointment.
OFFICE VISITS:
Our physician, Dr. Lisa Sachdev, is considered out of network with all insurance plans. Dr. Sachdev does NOT contract or accept payment from ANY private insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, CHIPS, or TriCare. She provides service to patients on a private pay basis, which means that patients pay out of pocket for any and all products and services provided at Nova Wellness Center. Payment for services rendered is collected in full on the day the appointment is scheduled or on the day the service is provided.
ACCEPTED FORMS OF PAYMENT:
We require payment in full at the time you book your appointment. We accept credit cards, debit cards and health savings account (HSA) cards**. We do not accept personal checks.
**Please note if you are using a HSA card or paying with a flexible spending account (FSA) please notify the receptionist when you check in at the front desk for your appointment.
We also accept cash for items or services that are provided when patients are in the office however a credit or debit card is required to reserve appointments or products online.
SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT:
Patients may reserve an appointment directly via our website at any time (24 hrs/day, 7 days/wk) without assistance from our office. Our automated scheduling software offers greater convenience, efficiency and privacy to our patients. Patients may also reschedule their appointments directly via the same software as long as it is more than 24 hours before their appointment time. Payment for the visit will be collected online at the time the appointment is reserved.
**If you have a health spending account (HSA) card or a flexible spending account (FSA) please notify our receptionist when you check in at the front desk for your appointment. Federal law does not allow prepayment for any product or service, be sure to check with our receptionist to make sure your HSA or FSA funds are handled correctly, including providing you with documentation you will need for your records.
RESCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT:
Patients may reschedule their appointments without assistance as long as it is more than 24 hours before the time they are scheduled to be seen. To reschedule the appointment go to the appointment confirmation notice you received via text or email, there you will find instructions for rescheduling.
If you need to reschedule less than 24 hours before your appointment contact our office for assistance. A $50 no show or late cancellation fee may be applied if you are unable to keep the appointment you originally scheduled if less than 24 hours notice is provided.
CANCELING AN APPOINTMENT:
Patients need to contact our office if they need to cancel their appointment. Refunds will be provided but a $50 no show or late cancellation fee may be assessed for cancellations with fewer than 24 hours advance notice. Refunds may take 10-15 business days to reflect on your credit card or bank statement.
LATE ARRIVALS:
You may be asked to reschedule your appointment if you arrive more than 15 minutes late. We will do our best to accommodate you if you miss your appointment but cannot guarantee that you will be seen on the same day.
TEST RESULTS:
Patients should never assume their test results were normal. Patients should communicate directly with Dr. Sachdev via follow up appointment for their test results. If you have questions about receiving your results please contact our office.
VACCINATIONS:
Due to inadequate reimbursement and heavy administrative burden we no longer provide vaccinations. Patients will be referred to their local pharmacy or urgent care facility for vaccinations.
